CLOSING DATE: Friday 14th July 2017 INTERVIEW: Panel interview on Monday 24th July 2017 THE COMPANY: Our client is an organisation that provides vital support to volunteer Reserves and Cadets around the UK through 13 autonomous Associations. These have some 8,000 volunteer members supported by professional staff allowing a local defence footprint. They provide both financial and logistic support as well as assistance and encouragement in recruiting both Cadets and Adult Instructors within the Army Cadet Force. They are currently looking for a Cadet Executive Officer to join their team based in Farncombe, near Godalming, Surrey. THE ROLE: The Cadet Executive Officer will be part of the Senior Management team and will be responsible for the running the busy Head office of the Surrey Army Cadet Force (ACF). Key Responsibilities for the Cadet Executive Officer role to include:- Line management of permanent office staff and adult volunteer staff Accounting for public and non-public funds Facilitate dealings and liaising with Formation Military Headquarters Facilitate dealings with cadets, their parents, other youth organisations and the local authority Responsible for the handling of confidential information and safeguarding of data. THE CANDIDATE: Applicants will ideally have a service background and should have held the rank of Major or equivalent. Essential criteria for the Cadet Executive Officer role: The successful applicant will be required to reside within daily commuting distance of the ACF Headquarters Undertake security clearance and an enhanced DBS check Military/Cadet service background A thorough working knowledge of the military system coupled with a wide administrative experience Computer literacy based on the Microsoft Office package Familiarity with the maintenance of public and non-public funds Excellent communication and supervisory skills.
