About the team The Security Design Team is part of the Transport Domain which is responsible for connecting our mobile and fixed network equipment together and how we connect our people to the IT systems that they need to do their jobs. In particular the role of the Security Design team is to ensure this is all done securely and in line with Telefonica Security Policy. The Security Design team consists of a team of highly skilled individuals who are responsible for all security design and build activity. Your role The purpose of this role is to provide security consultancy services to business units within Telefonica UK, to deliver high and detailed level network security designs and to build new security infrastructures to assist Telefonica UK with the delivery of new functionality and service improvements. Furthermore the holder of this role inputs into strategic decisions, planning ahead for the future. Responsibilities -Lead customers through a requirement gathering process in support of security requirements and provide expert security knowledge to various groups across the business -Provide security design, guidance and technical approval for new projects across the business and ensure they adhere to Telefonica (UK) Corporate Security policies -Ensure Security Operational Acceptance criteria are met for all new projects and any gaps are highlighted to the business -Design and implementation of security infrastructure in line with the security architecture / framework. This includes: Firewalls; Security Gateways; Remote Access Solutions; Web/URL Filtering Solutions; Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems; Vulnerability Assessment; Security Event Monitoring; DDoS Solutions -Perform upgrades and install hot fixes to the systems mentioned above Demonstrable Experience -Experience in the information security field and a valid security qualification such as CISSP advantageous -Must possess specialist knowledge and in depth hands-on experience of working with security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection / prevention, SIEM and vulnerability management tools. In particular experience with the following technologies is essential: Checkpoint FW and IDS; Crossbeam; Cisco PIX / ASA; VPN/IPSEC; SecureID; Radius; RSA Envision; QualysGuard -Excellent working knowledge of TCP/IP -Knowledge of IP Networking Technologies such as Cisco Routers and Routing protocols, IT Infrastructure and Mobile Network Infrastructure. -Strong written and verbal communication skills required for presenting complex technical conceptsGrade: PTG Location: Slough or Leeds Salary and benefits: We are looking to pay a competitive salary (depending on experience) for this position, and in addition we have some great benefits such as a bonus, life cover, health care, holiday entitlement and lots of flexible benefits too.
