Job Role: Logistics Support Manager - Integrated Logistic Support/ILS Logistics Support Manager - Permanent - Bournemouth - Excellent Salary! The successful candidate will be the point of contact between the customer and the company for these contracts, actively participating and directing in the preparation of deliverables in accordance with specific contract terms. Our client is looking for a Logistics Support Manager who will be responsible for providing leadership and ensuring that all activities related to In Service Support are effectively managed and that all activities are resourced, monitored and progressed to ensure that the needs of the customer and the business are met. Key Responsibilities: To efficiently and effectively manage new and existing support contracts, liaising with customers to maximize the business potential of the company products and services. Undertake the overall project and financial management of the Support Contracts. Ensure the preparation and delivery of technical and commercial documentation are completed in accordance with contract requirements, working in association with other areas of the company as required. Undertake regular formal documented reviews of contracts, reporting or presenting the contract progress and adherence to meeting the financial estimates. Ensure the division works within the parameters of the Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as dictated by the individual support contracts. To effectively lead and manage the direct reports to the role, ensuring development, welfare, behaviours and performance are measured and responded to proactively, professionally and accordingly. Work closely with other areas within the business to ensure we work within the agreed parameters of the Support Contracts. Responsible for the collation and submission of all PDS/ISS/ILS bids against customer requirements. In conjunction with the Business Manager, proactively contribute to the winning of new business according to the agreed plan. General Tasks: Develop standardised documentation and reporting templates for use across all support contracts within the Division. To effectively manage obsolescence to ensure the customer can efficiently operate within the parameters of their Support Contracts. Responsible for the timely and appropriate response to customer queries relating to the Post Design Support/In Service Support Contracts. Utilise to the best effect, standard project management tools and practices, ensuring use across all support contracts. Consistently seek, explore and implement opportunities for increasing efficiency and reducing costs. Championing change initiatives within the Division and business as a whole. Undertake other tasks as identified by the business, which are generally in line with the interests and overall development of the Company as a whole. To work outside regular office hours when necessary to ensure that deadlines and objectives are met. Travel both within the UK and Overseas, including travel/work outside normal office hours as necessary. Essential Skills/Experience: Solid understanding of Project Management and Risk Management. Proficient knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint with advanced knowledge of MS Project. Knowledge and understanding of contractual terms and conditions, associated risks and ability to manage those risks. Previous management of a team. Solid understanding of business principles, including costs and margins. Experience of effectively managing Support Contracts. Understanding of the principles of ILS. An organised and thorough approach to work with strong attention to detail in order to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines. Project a confident and professional manner across the business particularly when building both internal and external relationships. Good presentation skills. Ability to influence and persuade.
